Gift Giving
Gifts can be made to the Foundation in a variety of ways.  We are announcing the Foundation and hope you will consider donating in the future. Visit any director for more information.  We will be working to establish Iowa nonprofit and 501(c)(3) status.

Trusts and Wills
Gifts by trust and will can be given at any time.  Cash or property can be given with the income reserved during the donor’s lifetime or another person designated by the donor.

Cash
Gifts of cash are the most common form of giving.

Negotiable Securities
Gifts of property other than cash can be given with approval from the Board of Directors.  These include property such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and securities.

Memorials
Gifts in memory of an individual are an effective way to commemorate the passing of a loved one.

Insurance Policies
Existing policies or proceeds from life insurance, annuities, and retirement plans can be assigned in part or in full to the Foundation.  Naming the Foundation as owner/beneficiary may provide tax savings.

Real Estate
Marketable real estate can be given outright or with provisions to retain an interest in the property during your life.  Real Estate gifts must be approved by the Board of Directors.

Tangible Personal Property
Items such as artwork, collections, or equipment can be donated.

Matching Gifts
You may be able to double or triple the value of your donation if your employer will match your gift.

Donating to the I-35 Education Foundation was easy and straightforward. They accept cash, check, or an online payment via their website. Better yet, my employer offers a philanthropy match program where they donate up to a certain dollar amount to a nonprofit that I’m supporting. This meant that my employer also contributed to the I-35 Education Foundation on my behalf. All donors should check their company’s policies to see if your monetary support can be matched by your employer."
