Homecoming Week 2025!

Get ready Roadrunner Country! Homecoming 2025 is here! It should be a fun-filled celebration of school spirit and community pride! Whether you're a student, parent, alumni, or community member, there's something for everyone to enjoy during this action-packed week full of events.

School Spirit Week

Homecoming week is all about showing your school pride, and we hope that you'll he secondary students (7th grade and above) have a whole week of themed days to do just that:

- Monday: Neon Day

Get creative and dress up as something that starts with the first letter of your name! From astronauts to zookeepers, it’s a great way to show off your originality.

- Tuesday: Decade Day (Secondary) or Career Day (Elementary)

Grab a friend and dress as your favorite dynamic duo. Whether you’re Batman and Robin or peanut butter and jelly, this is your day to pair up and showcase a famous team!

- Wednesday: Rhyme Without Reason (Secondary) or Pajama Day (Elementary)

Who needs a backpack when you can carry your school supplies in a laundry basket, suitcase, or even a wagon? Wednesday is all about the fun and quirky ways to tote your gear!

- Thursday: Beach Party

Show off your support for your favorite sports team, whether it's college, professional, or even a local team. Jerseys, hats, and team colors are the go-to outfit for Thursday.

- Friday: Spirit Day – Wear School Colors!

End the week with a burst of school pride by donning your Roadrunner red and blue! Let’s flood the school with our colors and get ready for the big game.

Special Events

Homecoming isn’t just about themed outfits—it’s about the whole community coming together to celebrate!

- Monday, September 22:

  • JV Football takes the field at 6:00 PM vs. Grandview Christian

  • HS Volleyball travels to Ogden

- Tuesday, September 23:

  • Middle School Football takes the field at 4:00 PM (8th grade) and 5:00 PM (7th grade) against Pleasantville

  • Middle School Volleyball hosts DM Christian at 4:00 PM (8th grade) and 5:00 PM (7th grade).

  • HS Volleyball travels to Van Meter

- Thursday, September 25:

  • I-35 Backpack Program Fundraiser Meal: From 5:00 to 7:00 PM, head to the school to support a great cause while enjoying a delicious meal. For just $7, you’ll get a hamburger, chips, dessert, and water (cash or check). Proceeds benefit the I-35 Backpack Program, which supports students in need. Check out the flyer for all the details!

  • Homecoming Parade: 6:00 PM: T

    he Homecoming Parade will roll down the street, passing in front of the school, bringing floats, excitement, and cheers! Don’t miss this chance to catch candy and see the creativity of our student groups and community organizations.

  • Homecoming Coronation & Wall of Pride Ceremony: 7:00 PM: After the parade, head to the high school gym for the Coronation of our Homecoming Court and the Wall of Pride ceremony, honoring outstanding alumni and individuals who have contributed to the I-35 community. - Friday, September 26 - GAME DAY:

  • The much-anticipated Homecoming football game is on Friday, September 26 vs.

    Panorama. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM. Be sure to fill the stands and cheer on our athletes as they fight for a big Homecoming win after defeating #5 ranked Pleasantville last week!

  • Mini Football Giveaway! The first 100 students through the gates will be able to snag a white I-35 mini football, thanks to the I-35 Booster Club and All Sports sponsor, Whitey Exteriors.

- Saturday, September 27 - Homecoming Dance:

  • The week culminates in the homecoming dance for high school students! This year's dance will be from 8:00-11:30 PM in the High School Commons.

  • Sophomore Attendants: Avery Blair and Beau Dodds

  • Junior Attendants: Zoey Secaur and Taite Fitch 

  • 3rd grade Attendants: Clare Nelson and Brantley Graf
