old tractor

Like old tractors and cool people? Come help the Interstate 35 FFA for a fundraiser lunch on June 14. The Interstate FFA Chapter is excited to be hosting a lunch for the WHO Radio tractor ride on Monday, June 14th at approximately 11:00 am. The Interstate 35 FFA Chapter and FFA Alumni & Supporter group are working together to provide lunch for 400-500 riders.

The task is large, but we are confident we have a good plan initiated. We’ll need your support for a successful event in the form of monetary donations, helpful hands- all the way from set up to tear down, or needed food items/supplies. The tentative menu includes pork loin sandwiches and steak sandwiches, baked beans, pasta salad, chips, and desserts. We have been in contact with local businesses seeking donations of either monetary or supplies but are still seeking more donations.

We are looking for volunteers for the following areas:

June 13th   People to set up (night before and morning of)

People Preparing food (the night before)

June 14th   People helping to park tractors

                           People serving food

                           People Cleaning up

If you would like to be a sponsor, make a donation, or volunteer to help at the event, please contact i35ffaalumni@gmail.com or Ellen Lupkes at 641-340-5404. Or see the Signup Genius to volunteer your time https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C44ACAC29A3F9C07-whotractor

Our next planning meetings will be on May 25th at 6:00pm and June 9th in Mr. Megger’s room at the school. You are welcome to join!
