I-35 Community School District is excited to host our annual Reading & Math Night on Monday, April 13, 2026 from 5:30–7:00 p.m.
This interactive evening is designed to give families a firsthand look at how reading and math are taught in today’s classrooms. Through engaging, hands-on sessions, you’ll experience grade-level strategies and learn alongside your student.
The evening will feature four total sessions, and each family will select two to attend. Reading sessions will be tailored to support both younger and older learners, while math sessions are designed to be accessible and beneficial across all grade levels.

Families can expect:
Classroom-style reading and math experiences
Guided practice time to apply strategies together
Opportunities to ask questions and connect with staff
Practical, ready-to-use resources to support learning at home
Events like Reading & Math Night help strengthen the connection between school and home. When you have a clear understanding of how your student is learning, it becomes easier to support that learning outside of the classroom. That consistency helps reinforce key skills, build confidence, and support long-term growth.
At I-35, we know that strong skills in reading and math are foundational to student success. Reading supports comprehension, communication, and critical thinking, while math builds problem-solving, reasoning, and real-world application skills. Providing families with tools and insight in both areas helps ensure every student is supported along their learning journey.
This event is designed for all learners. Whether your student could benefit from additional practice or is ready for enrichment opportunities to keep growing, we encourage you to attend. Each student will also have the opportunity to take home a free book to continue building their reading skills at home.
We look forward to welcoming our elementary families for an evening focused on learning and connection.
