This past school year Freshman Reagan Trost and Brianna Fantz have been reading 20 books in preparation for the Iowa High School Battle of the Books competition. Two weeks ago they competed virtually in the competition and placed 3rd in the state. What is even more incredible is that all the other top 16 teams have 6 participants on each of their teams. Reagan and Brianna were able to beat out the other schools as a team of two. They will compete at state on April 26th in Marshalltown.

Only a few hours to go before the Elementary Girls Slumber Party begins!
A percussion ensemble from Iowa Central Community College performed for band students on Thursday. I35 students were able to ask them questions and learn about percussion, being in college, and what it's like to continue in music after High School!
Don't forget:
This afternoon, the secondary music students showcased their talents for the 3rd and 4th grade students to help encourage the younger kids to join band! What a great performance!
